The famous magazine "Time" has chosen its athlete of the year.

The athlete of the year is Lionel Messi, who won his eighth "Ballon d'Or" title in 2023, secured the French championship title with PSG.

His triumph in the 2022 World Cup with Argentina also influenced this vote.

Meanwhile, the "Time" Person of the Year was singer Taylor Swift, with last year's title going to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
