„TopSport Pirmos lygos“ leaders „Riteriai“ strengthen their defense line with Zambia youth national team defender Ricky Chanda. The nineteen-year-old has already arrived in Lithuania and proven himself worthy to stay in the team.

„Ricky is a young player with potential to grow to a higher level of play. Very diligent in training, not afraid of contact, has the right mentality and attitude for daily hard work.

It seems he follows the phrase that hard work and dedication can achieve more than talent without hard work. It will be very interesting to watch his game and progress“, - said „Riteriai“ sports director Vytautas Masaitis about the newcomer.

The footballer started his career in his hometown of Lusaka, Zambia. Later, he tested himself in the „Stal“ youth team in Poland. In addition, he was constantly invited to Zambia youth national teams. Playing in the U-17 team, he was selected as the vice-captain.

„I am happy to join a new team that has a clear vision and clear goals. The first impressions are good, now I just need to transfer those impressions onto the field“, - said R. Chanda.

The defender became the second reinforcement for „Riteriai“ during the season. A few weeks ago, the team was joined by the midfielder Roscello Vlijter, who holds Dutch and Surinamese citizenship.
