„Southampton“ strategist Ronald Koeman is 99% certain that Morgan Schneiderlin will not leave the club this summer.
The French national team footballer was previously with London's „Tottenham“, who planned to make a £17 million offer, as a target, but „pentin“ coach Mauricio Pochettino is close to an agreement with „Montpellier“ defender Benjamin Stambouli.
Schneiderlin publicly expressed his desire to leave the „Saints“ back in July, but „Southampton“ is not willing to negotiate his sale.
After the fantastic performance of the 24-year-old player in Saturday's match against „West Ham“, Koeman spoke, stating that Schneiderlin will not be sold and dismissed the assumption that the Frenchman might go on strike.
„It's very difficult to say that he will 100% stay. I think so, but I would give a 99% chance,“ the coach told journalists.
„He never mentioned the possibility of going on strike. He is in a good position now and has accepted the club's decision not to sell him.“
Meanwhile, „West Ham“ coach Sam Allardyce criticized his players but was dissatisfied with referee Mike Dean's work.
„We were not good enough,“ he said. „Southampton taught us that we lacked sharpness and were not able to hold the ball as well as they did. That's why we conceded two goals. Just like they controlled the game and were better, we conceded two very silly goals from set pieces.“
„The main problem with the corner that led to the second goal was that it should have been a shot from the goal. I reviewed the episode on my computer. Could the referee see that? Was his view obstructed and he couldn't make the right decision? From Mike Dean's position, he made a very bad decision against us when we really didn't need that.“
