They rejected a €30 million offer from an unnamed English Premier League club for forward Lukas Podolski, reports the German media.
Even though the Cologne team is struggling financially, according to "Express," the solid amount of money did not entice them. The 25-year-old forward was offered a yearly salary of €3.5 million.
"I don't know anything about it, but we are rejecting the possibility of the deal," said one of the Cologne leaders, Klaus Horstmann. "We absolutely do not want to sell Podolski."
The player's representative also added that his client has no intention of leaving.
This season in the German championship, Podolski scored 4 goals in 14 matches.
