As reported by a Ukrainian club on Thursday, in the UEFA Champions League matches in Kiev in three weeks, they will have to play without two main goalkeepers.
Oleksandr Rybka and Oleksandr Shovkovskyi suffered injuries during Tuesday's UEFA Champions League match in Madrid against Real.
In the second half of the match against Real, O.Shovkovskyi received a red card for a foul on Dutchman Ruud van Nistelrooy, and the 19-year-old O.Rybka, who replaced him, later clashed heads with Real defender Sergio Ramos.
It turned out that the young goalkeeper suffered a serious head injury and will not be able to play for at least three weeks.
"Oleksandr's injury is serious and he will spend the next week in the hospital. After that, he will have to refrain from training for at least two weeks," the website of "Dynamo" stated.
With this news, it means that in the match against French champions Lyon on October 17, Dynamo will have to play without both of their main goalkeepers, as O.Shovkovskyi will be suspended.
In the match against Lyon, the Ukrainian club will only have the third-choice goalkeeper, Taras Lutsenko, who played only two matches last season. Dynamo also plans for the reserve goalkeeper Vitaliy Reva to sit on the bench.
Dynamo had a rough start in the Champions League: two weeks ago, they lost 4-1 to Steaua Bucharest, and on Tuesday they were defeated 5-1 in Madrid.
