„Paris Saint-Germain“ coach Laurent Blanc has confirmed that he is currently in negotiations with the winners of „Ligue 1“ regarding a contract extension.
„We are talking with the club about extending the contract. At the moment, nothing has been decided and the contract has not been signed, but we are discussing with the team about a new agreement,“ Blanc told reporters at a press conference.
The 49-year-old PSG strategist took over the team in the summer of 2013 and has since won eight titles with the French team.
Despite good results in the local championships, there have been reports several times that the team's leaders want better performances in the Champions League matches and are actively seeking possible replacements for Blanc.
The coach's current contract with the team is valid until the summer of 2016.
