"Juventus" defender Leonardo Bonucci was disappointed after a painful loss in the Spanish capital.
The Italian champions faced Madrid's "Atletico" on Wednesday. In the second half, "Juventus" had a two-goal advantage, but poor defending during set pieces resulted in two goals for the opponents and a 2:2 draw.
"In the first half, "Atletico" tried to press us, and we were too slow with the ball ourselves. However, when we accelerated our game a bit, we immediately found ourselves in their penalty area," said the Italian.
"It's very disappointing to concede two goals from set pieces. We put on a really decent performance, but we had to stay more focused because such goals have been happening not for the first time. Each of us needs to pay more attention to it. A team like us cannot afford to concede so many goals from set pieces.
We were hungry for this victory, which could be seen even after the final whistle. Each of us should take responsibility for the missed goals," continued Bonucci.
