Italy's national team continues its impressive journey in the EURO 2020 tournament. On Tuesday, Roberto Mancini's players defeated the Spaniards after a penalty shootout and became the first finalists. After the semifinal match, one of Italy's defensive pillars Leonardo Bonucci admitted that it was the most difficult game he has ever played. "It was the toughest game I have ever played. I want to congratulate the Spaniards because they played really well, but our team once again showed amazing dedication. In difficult moments, we focus even more and we were rewarded for that. Victories that are hard-fought are always the sweetest. Now we just need to take the final step. What we are doing is simply incredible, but we cannot be satisfied with our performance yet. We are in the final and we need to maintain the same hunger for victories and demonstrate the same dedication," Bonucci told RAI Sport.
