L. Enrique announced the renewed composition of the Spanish national team

The new coach of the Spanish national team, Luis Enrique, announced his first list of national team players.

There are quite a few new faces in the squad - after the unsuccessful World Cup, Gerard Pique, David Silva, and Andres Iniesta announced the end of their international careers.

The national team has the most players from Real Madrid - Luis Enrique invited Sergio Ramos, Nacho, Dani Carvajal, Isco, Dani Ceballos, and Marco Asensio.

Unexpectedly left out of the squad were Jordi Alba and Koke. In the defense, L. Enrique gave a chance to Dani Ceballos, and chose two new defenders - Marcos Alonso and Jose Gaya in Alba's place.

Also receiving a call-up were players such as Sergi Roberto, Alvaro Morata, Raul Albiol, Inigo Martinez, and Suso, who did not participate in the World Cup.

Spain will play against Croatia and England in the UEFA Nations League in September.

List of players:

Goalkeepers: De Gea, Kepa, Pau Lopez;

Defenders: Carvajal, Azpilicueta, Albiol, Nacho, Sergio Ramos, Inigo Martinez, Marcos Alonso, Gaya, Diego Llorente (alternative);

Midfielders: Busquets, Sergi Roberto, Rodri, Saul, Thiago, Dani Ceballos, Isco;

Forwards: Asensio, Morata, Diego Costa, Suso, Rodrigo.
