The head coach of "Barcelona" Luis Enrique acknowledges that Madrid's "Atletico" team can compete point for point for the Spanish "Primera" title until the end of the season.
After 17 rounds, "Atletico" has 38 points along with "Barca", but the Catalans have played one game less. The "Rojiblancos" demonstrated in the 2013-14 season that they can leave both "Barca" and "Real" behind.
"I believe that the "Atletico" club is one of the contenders for the "Primera" title," said the strategist at a press conference. "They have already shown how successfully they can fight, so I am confident that they will be contenders for the title."
L. Enrique was asked about the previous year and whether the team is still hungry for trophies.
"We know how difficult it would be to fight again for the same amount of trophies. The good news is that my players never get tired of winning," concluded the Spaniard who helped the Catalans win five titles in the past five years.
