Spanish national team head coach Luis Enrique is not ready to become a grandparent.
Nevertheless, the 52-year-old coach senses such a threat because his daughter Sira Martinez is close friends with national team player Ferran Torres.
The specialist was asked what he would do if a striker celebrating a goal gave a hint to his future son-in-law about future changes and, for example, started sucking his thumb.
"I would immediately replace him, kick him to the stands, and Ferran would not set foot on the football field again," said L. Enrique.
However, the coach, speaking about F. Torres' mastery, was not as categorical.
"Which Spanish national team player most resembles myself? The answer is very simple - F. Torres. Otherwise, my daughter would run up and knock my head from my shoulders," - joked L. Enrique.
