Dortmund's "Borussia" lost two more points in the "Bundesliga" championship on Sunday, when they let the victory slip from their hands in the last minutes and played a 2-2 draw with Frankfurt's "Eintracht" team.
After the match, BVB coach Lucien Favre did not hide his disappointment over the missed goal at the end of the match and stated that his players could have created a more comfortable situation.
"The missed goal at the end was simply regrettable, but we had the opportunities to create an even bigger advantage. Unfortunately, we didn't do that.
There were periods when we didn't play well. We had chances, but sometimes we lacked speed in the attack or accuracy.
We dominated from the beginning of the match and were in the lead by the 10th minute. After that, we had to continue the work we started. We had great chances in the second half, but we didn't take advantage of them.
It's impossible to dominate the field for the entire 90 minutes. I think we played really well, but it wasn't enough. It's definitely not related to the players' mentality," Favre said after the match.
