The Dortmund "Borussia" team may have to say goodbye to their European dream. The German team, who conceded three goals in the first Champions League quarter-final match, will have to fulfill an "impossible mission" in a month.
BVB felt the power of London's "Tottenham" team at "Wembley" stadium - they were defeated by the visitors with a score of 3:0. Already after the first half, the scoreboard showed two zeros, but "Borussia" fell apart in the second half of the match.
After the game, BVB coach Lucien Favre said that they simply gifted their opponents the victory.
"We played well in the first half, created several dangerous moments. I was really satisfied with our performance in defense and attack," shared L. Favre with his initial impressions.
"However, as soon as we started the second half, we let them take the lead. We lost the ball, allowed a good pass, and they gained advantage. It was a real gift.
After that, we tried to do everything in a hurry, but our life in the field became even more difficult from then on.
Sometimes we just needed to defend more. The second goal also came when we lost the ball while trying to play it forward. After that goal, we practically had no chance of a comeback," concluded L. Favre.
