32-year-old London's "Arsenal" defender Laurent Koscielny announced at a press conference that he will say goodbye to the French national team in the summer of 2018.
At the moment, L. Koscielny is preparing for friendly matches with the French national team. In the summer, the Frenchman should travel to Russia with the national team, where they will await the 2018 World Cup.
The experienced defender revealed that this tournament will be his last with the French national team: "Yes, I made this decision. I have about six more months to enjoy playing for the national team."
"I think I have done everything I wanted with this team. I want to give way to young footballers who deserve it. I think I will continue playing football for a few more years, but the last months are already approaching in the national team," added L. Koscielny.
L. Koscielny made his debut for the French national team in 2011 and played almost 50 matches. His greatest achievement is the silver medal at the 2016 European Championship.
