London's "Arsenal" announced on Friday evening on their official website that center-back Laurent Koscielny has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
Just yesterday, Arsene Wenger mentioned at a press conference that a new contract with the Frenchman will be signed soon, and today the official news has appeared.
This season, L. Koscielny formed an excellent central defender tandem with Per Mertesacker, and the 28-year-old's services were of interest to the Munich "Bayern" and PSG teams.
"I am very proud to have reached an agreement with the club for a new contract. I enjoyed all four years with the 'Arsenal' team, so I want to continue playing here," Koscielny officially told the website.
The defender arrived in London in 2010. In four seasons, he managed to play 163 matches and score 12 goals.
