According to journalist Franco Panizo, this might happen for an unusual reason.

Ahead of the upcoming CONCACAF Champions Cup away match against the Kansas City team, the world champion is reportedly frightened by the excessively cold weather.

During the match, which has already been rescheduled from February 18 to February 19, temperatures could drop to as low as 15 degrees below zero.

“Sources tell me that L. Messi is certainly not eager to play soccer in such weather conditions,” explained F. Panizo.
