L. Messi: "I thought Neymar would leave for Real"

The best footballer on the planet Lionel Messi was convinced that Neymar would not remain in Paris Saint-Germain.

It was no secret that the 27-year-old Brazilian wanted to leave PSG camp in the summer. His goal was to return to Barcelona, and if the deal did not work out, eventually come to Real Madrid.

Barcelona had started negotiations with PSG, and Real was not involved in the battle for the football player in general. As revealed by L. Messi, he hoped that the Madrid team would put more effort.

"I was convinced that if Neymar did not return to Barca, his path would turn to Real Madrid," said the Argentine. "It was obvious that he wanted to leave PSG."

"I thought that Florentino Perez and Real would try to invite him, but in the end he stayed in Paris," added L. Messi, whose entire conversation with RAC1 radio show will appear on Wednesday evening.
