L. Messi is embroiled in a tax evasion scandal again?

Lionel Messi continues to get entangled in a corruption scandal. The organizers of the #PanamaPapers project revealed that the five-time best football player in the world had hidden taxes by setting up a company in Panama.

11 million leaked secret documents revealed how the world's wealthy and powerful used so-called tax havens to hide their wealth. The documents leaked from one of the most secretive companies in the world - the Panamanian law firm "Mossack Fonseca," reported the BBC.

Barcelona star Lionel Messi fell into the trap. He is already facing the courts in Spain for hiding taxes together with his father.

The documents show that L. Messi and his father had opened another company in Panama - "Mega Star Enterprises," through which they also allegedly hid taxes.

L. Messi refused to comment on this information.

The leaked documents also revealed that one of the members of FIFA's independent ethics committee, Pedro Damiani, and his law firm closely collaborate with an individual who was removed from the organization due to a corruption scandal.

According to the organizers of the #PanamaPapers project, P. Damiani and his law firm helped former vice president of the organization, Eugenio Figueredo, who is being tried in the USA for money laundering.
