"Barcelona" star Lionel Messi, in an interview, admitted that his role on the field has changed and he is now more of a creator of attacks rather than a finisher.
The 30-year-old footballer has been known for his versatility in the attacking position throughout his career, but in recent seasons it has been noticed that L. Messi is taking on more creator tasks.
"Before, I used to try to 'steal' the ball from opponents and create everything on my own. But now I try to unite the team for the game, make more passes, and I am no longer as selfish or individualistic player", - said L. Messi.
"I try to lead the team forward from a different position. I still run with the ball as before, but now I do it in a different way", - the Argentinean spoke about the changes in his game.
L. Messi has scored 34 goals and made 16 assists in 42 games this season.
