Lionel Messi participated in an interview with journalist Juani Jimena.
During the conversation, the Miami "Inter" forward revealed that after finishing his career, he would like to try his hand at the role of sporting director. However, he did not mention which club.
"After I finish my career, I would like to become a sporting director, but I have no idea where to start. I enjoy teaching everything related to football. I simply like to teach," said the 36-year-old Argentine.
Messi also talked about other current topics: the upcoming "Ballon D'or" awards ceremony and the 2026 World Cup.
"The Ballon d'Or is a special award, but I have been lucky to win everything in football: the Champions League, league titles, Copa America, World Cup, and other titles. These awards are the most important," he said.
Regarding the 2026 World Cup, Messi said: "I don't know if I will participate or not. I'm not thinking about it, my focus at the moment is on the Copa America tournament, then we'll see. Everything will depend on how I feel, there are still three years left until then."
