When asked if in the future, when both players retire, they could become friends, Messi replied: "I really don't know. Friendship is created when you spend a lot of time together and know each other well."
"There is no friendship between us. It happens because we practically only meet during award ceremonies. That's the only place where we talk a little bit with each other.
