Argentinian national team striker Lionel Messi has made predictions about who could win the "Golden Ball" award at the end of this year.

According to the sniper, young talents are most likely to vie for the prestigious prize.

"Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius and many young players could win this award in the coming years.

I think even Lamine Yamal, who is still very young and plays for the Barcelona team, will be ready to compete for the trophy in the future," said L. Messi.

The 37-year-old Argentine is a record holder in terms of awards, having as many as eight "Golden Balls" in his collection.
