L. Messi's time is not wasted: he earned 3.5 million euros for laying a brick in Gabon

Having received some extra time off from football, "Barcelona" leader Lionel Messi did not waste time in vain.

One of the best players in the world earned a tidy sum of money for a brief visit to the African country of Gabon.

"France Football" reported that the local president Ali Bongo, in contact with the Argentine through Samuel Eto'o, paid a symbolic fee of 3.5 million euros for the laying of the foundation stone in the construction of a new stadium.

Later on, A. Bongo became the personal driver of the footballer and showed him around the capital city of Libreville.
