Included in the list of the best footballers in the world in 2015, Real Madrid defender Luka Modrić claims that his teammate Gareth Bale still has a chance to win the "Ballon d'Or" award.
The 25-year-old footballer has not yet participated in any FIFA selections, but Modrić, a long-time teammate of G. Bale, has no doubt that one day he will be included in the FIFPro list or win the "Ballon d'Or."
"I told him, if he continues to maintain his current level of play, I see no reason why he couldn't be included in the FIFPro list or triumph in the 'Ballon d'Or' awards," - said the Croatian.
"He has all the possibilities because he is a great player. Gareth is physically strong, a top-class player, and has the best qualities of a footballer," - said the 30-year-old, who praised the forward who scored eight goals in the last four matches.
Modrić was also asked if he was surprised that no player from the Premier League made it to the best team in the world.
"It just happens that the best footballers in the world now play in Spain. England has great players, but La Liga is currently number one in the world," - added the Croatian, who previously defended the honor of London's Tottenham.
