One of the most important "Real Madrid" players, Luka Modrić, did not hide his joy after the victorious match, but pointed out to the club's fans that they should not always expect to see many goals in matches.
Yesterday, the royal club clashed with "Granada" away. After Karim Benzema's goal, the guests took the lead in Madrid, but the opponents equalized the score in the second half. Nevertheless, in the 85th minute, "Real" scored a winning goal, with L. Modrić delivering a stunning shot.
"You can't expect to score many goals in every match. Football is not like that," said the midfielder. "We showed character and created many dangerous opportunities. I don't think scoring two goals away is a small achievement."
Asked to comment on his current form, the Croatian responded: "I don't know if this is my best sporting form in my career. In every match, I try to play as best as I can and do everything for the team. Physically, I feel much better than at the start of the season."
"I believe that the decisive goal against 'Granada' was one of the best in my career. The coach gave me instructions before the game to take more shots from distance, and ultimately I managed to do it. I am very happy," concluded the center midfielder, who made it into the top eleven of the best footballers of 2015.
This season, L. Modrić has already played 27 matches, scored two goals, and provided four assists.
