The 31-year-old Croatian is arguably the most important player of the "Real" team. L. Modric's old contract expired in 2018, so the UEFA Champions League winners quickly reached agreement on the terms of a new contract.
L. Modric, also known as the little Croatian football miracle, will remain in Madrid for another four years - until 2020, under the new contract.
Currently recovering from an injury, the former Tottenham midfielder managed to play seven games this season and once again dazzled the opponents' goalkeeper.
L. Modric strengthened the "Real" club back in 2012. During this time, the Croatian has already played 180 games and triumphed twice in the UEFA Champions League.
