37-year-old Croatian football veteran Luka Modric currently has no plans to hang up his boots in the national team. The midfielder, after winning a bronze medal at the FIFA World Cup, gave an interview to "HRT" and stated that he will help the Croatian national team try to win medals in the Nations League.
"That's the plan," Modric replied when asked if he intends to continue playing for the national team.
"It would be absurd for me not to play in the Nations League, and then we'll see how it goes. I really want to at least reach the Nations League finals."
Croatia, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands secured the first places in their groups in the 2022-2023 UEFA Nations League season and will compete for the championship medals. The semi-finals will take place on June 14 and 15, with the draw for the pairings taking place on January 25.
