Madrid's "Real" club midfielder Luka Modrič has signed a new contract with the team, which will keep him in the team until the summer of 2018.
The leader of the Croatian national team extended his contract for only a year - his old contract was valid until 2017, but the new contract includes a higher salary for the football player.
The 28-year-old central midfielder joined the "Real" club in the summer of 2012 when he moved from London's "Tottenham" team. Later, another "Spurs" member Gareth Bale followed in his footsteps.
L.Modrič has already played more than 100 games in all tournaments representing Madrid's "Real" team.
Before moving to the "Tottenham" team in 2008, the Croatian also wore the jerseys of Zagreb's "Dinamo", "Zrinjski", and "Inter Zapresic" clubs.
