"Paris Saint-Germain" forward Lucas Moura rejects the possibility of returning to Brazil and believes that a move to his native country would be a step in the wrong direction.
In 2013, the Brazilian who transferred from "Sao Paulo" to France was heavily criticized for his poor performance. In addition, the forward was not invited to represent his country in the World Cup that took place this summer.
His inconsistent form led to speculation that he might be let go, but this season Moura has already scored six goals in 26 matches - one more than in the entire previous season. The player himself says he will not leave the club.
"I have learned many things in European football and leaving never crossed my mind," the Brazilian told Globoesporte.
"Returning to Brazil now would be a step back in my career. I am happy with how everything is going. 2013 was my adaptation year, 2014 was my consolidation."
On Thursday, Lucas Moura's agent stated that his client will soon reach the level of "Barcelona" and Madrid's "Real" stars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
