Gelzenkircheno "Schalke" talent Leroy Sane insists he is focused on the upcoming European Championship, and will only think about which club he will represent next season after the tournament.
The 20-year-old has been in excellent form this season, so it's no surprise that the press has started linking him with a move to one of the wealthier teams. In 33 Bundesliga matches, the attacking midfielder scored eight goals and provided six assists.
According to Goal.com, German clubs "Manchester City" and "Manchester United" are interested in Sane. However, his primary aim is to make it to the final squad of his national team.
"Yes, you hear the reports, but I try not to pay too much attention to them. I try not to think about it," the footballer said in a press conference.
"I still have a contract with "Schalke" and I am happy here."
"Throughout the season, I have been focused only on myself and constantly wanted to help the team. At the moment, everything else is also secondary."
"I am here with a goal - to be in the final squad going to the Euros."
"I will make a decision after returning from the national team."
