After a tough start to the World Cup, the Argentine national team secured first place in Group C.
Following a crucial victory on Wednesday, Lionel Scaloni's team will quickly move on to face Australia on Saturday for a spot in the World Cup quarterfinals.
It was only a two-day rest period for both Australians and Argentinians, which left the South American champions' coach unsatisfied.
"The conditions are not adequate, it seems strange to me. If we were in the first two groups, we would have one more rest day. Now it's 1 a.m., tomorrow will be a recovery day, so it means we will only have until Friday to prepare for the match," said L. Scaloni.
"We are not candidates for anything or favorites for anything - we will fight. It's bad to think that we will be champions just because we won today. We played well, it was a crucial victory, but nothing more.
"It was not easy, as we had to play and win against a team worthy of the top two spots, which they ultimately had enough of to progress. We prepared a good strategy, and the players performed superbly," the specialist said regarding the match against Poland.
