English football star Lee Sharpe commented on the potential transfer of Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah to the Saudi Arabian league.

"I can only imagine him leaving for this Middle Eastern country's championship, as other teams simply would not be able to afford the Egyptian.

Moreover, there is no bigger club in Europe with a larger fan base and better atmosphere than Liverpool. I am convinced that he would certainly not wear a Manchester United jersey.

A much more realistic option is Saudi Arabia, where the player would secure his future and have an easier life.

If M. Salah decides to go there, he would be the best player in the league since he is still young enough to dominate. I think M. Salah is now a better player and a bigger name than Cristiano Ronaldo," explained L. Sharpe.
