Milan's Inter coach Luciano Spalletti believes that Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival at Juventus in Turin does not mean that winning Serie A next season will be impossible.
Bianconeri have been Italian champions for the past seven years, even without the Portuguese player, but the revitalized "fashion capital" club also lacks ambition.
Next season, Nerazzurri will return to the UEFA Champions League, and during this transfer window, they have already strengthened with several new players.
"He will bring quality and visibility to our championship, which was once the best in the world," said Spalletti.
"Our goal is to challenge the strongest teams. We want to compete with the best teams. I don't understand why we won't be able to perform well this year - no one will make us feel inferior."
"I feel a strong team spirit from everyone. We have a special bond. top players want to be part of our team and that makes us proud of our work," he added.
The coach also discussed his four most famous acquisitions - Stefan de Vrij from Lazio, Radja Nainggolan from Roma, former Racing talent Lautaro Martinez, and Matteo Politano borrowed from Sassuolo.
"De Vrij has international experience and can play with the ball immediately after taking it," Spalletti added.
"Radja is very easy to read. What you see is what you get with him, and that's important to us. He has played well in all the teams he represented."
"He is someone special and I am sure he wants to show the Inter fans what he is worth."
"Lautaro demonstrates that he is a strong player. He is mature for his age. He has a strong character and is resilient. Matteo Politano controls the ball well and runs quickly with it."
In total, Inter spent €66 million on the last four players.
