Luis Suarez says he is a perfectionist and believes that improving his form will help the Uruguayan national team reach the World Cup quarterfinals.
The Barcelona striker was unnoticed in the first group match against Egypt, but stood out in the matches against Saudi Arabia and Russia.
Now Oscar Tabarez's protégés will seek to defeat the Portuguese national team, led by the five-time best player in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo.
"I am much better than I was in the first match," Suarez said yesterday. "On a personal level, I am a big perfectionist."
"After the matches, I always look at what happened, talk to my teammates and the coach."
"I know that tomorrow we will play in the World Cup quarterfinals and we will meet the European champions."
"We are fully motivated and must remain calm, knowing that if everything goes in an unexpected direction, we will have given our all."
The clash between Uruguay and Portugal will start today at 9 pm.
