On Wednesday evening, another set of E-H group matches were played in the second round of the UEFA Champions League group stage. At Camp Nou stadium, Barcelona claimed their first victory of the season. Led by Luis Suarez, the Catalans bounced back from an early goal and defeated Inter Milan 2-1. For Antonio Conte's side, this defeat was particularly painful, as the visitors from Italy could have scored two or even three goals in the first half alone. The start of the match promised much for Inter, as Lautaro Martinez found a gap in Barcelona's defense in the 3rd minute and sent the ball into Marc-Andre ter Stegen's goal. Later on, Barcelona tried to press the opponents in their own penalty area, but Inter managed to escape the pressure and create several dangerous opportunities. In the first half, Nicolo Barella and L. Martinez had two more excellent chances to score, but both were denied by Ter Stegen and Nelson Semedo. In the second half, Inter completely retreated towards their goal, and transitions from defense to attack were ineffective. In the 58th minute, Suarez equalized with a fantastic shot from about 18 meters after a pass from Arturo Vidal, leaving no chance for Samir Handanovic. Barcelona didn't stop after just one goal and continued to create dangerous attacks. In the 84th minute, a series of events ended with a winning goal - Lionel Messi drew the entire Inter defense towards him and then passed to L. Suarez, who extended the lead for the Catalan team. Barcelona and Borussia in Group F each have four points, while Inter and Slavia Prague have one point each. At Anfield stadium, Liverpool narrowly escaped a humiliating performance against Salzburg. Despite conceding three goals in a row, the Reds found a way to extend their lead. Liverpool had a perfect start in the match, scoring three goals in the first 36 minutes through Sadio Mane, Andrew Robertson, and Mohamed Salah. In the 39th minute, Salzburg reduced the deficit, but it didn't seem like this goal would change the course of the match. However, in the second half, the visitors from Austria shocked the hosts by scoring two goals in the first 15 minutes and equalizing the score. Still, Liverpool managed to come back and secure a victory with Salah's winning goal in the 69th minute. It was Liverpool's first win in Group E. They currently lead with four points, followed by Napoli. The other matches in the Champions League's second round ended with wins for Chelsea, Ajax, Zenit, and Lyon.
