Despite the growing rumors about his imminent transfer to London's "Arsenal," Lucas Torreira himself spoke about this team.
The 22-year-old midfielder is set to become Unai Emery's third purchase in the English capital, although the transfer will not be official until the end of the World Cup.
Yesterday, Genoa's "Sampdoria" president Massimo Ferrero also announced intentions to sell the Uruguayan.
"I don't know. At this moment, the most important thing is to represent my country," answered Torreira when asked if the transfer was already completed.
"Arsenal is a good team, one of the most important in the world, but at this moment, I am focused on playing for my country."
Last season, Torreira played a total of 38 matches for "Sampdoria," scoring four goals and providing one assist.
