L. van Gaal: I can make every player better

"Manchester United" coach Louis van Gaal praised Wayne Rooney after the successful English Premier League match and at the same time stated that the Englishman can play even better.

Yesterday, the "Red Devils" had no trouble with the "Hull City" team and defeated them with a score of 3-0. W. Rooney scored a goal, making it his 11th goal of the season in just 16 games.

Van Gaal believes that W. Rooney has started to feel the responsibility, as he is the captain of both "Man Utd" and the English national team. According to the Dutchman, he can make every player better and Rooney is no exception.

"Of course, before coming here, I knew about Wayne's reputation," said Van Gaal. "But from the very first day, he was not the Rooney that was talked about."

"In my eyes, he has been a great example in training and has reached a certain level. I think Wayne should always play, although in bad moments I can substitute him. But he is my captain. Rooney is an example for all the other team players. I am very pleased with him and I have the impression that he enjoys football and the duties of being the captain of Man Utd," the Dutchman said.

And finally, the former coach of the Dutch national team added: "I can make every player better. I apologize if I sound arrogant, but I can do it."
