„Manchester United“ strategist Louis van Gaal says that his players did not perform well in the lost match against „Swansea“ in the „Premier“ league.
„The Red Devils“ opened the scoring in today's match, when Ander Herrera scored in the 28th minute, but Sung-yueng Ki leveled the score two minutes later.
In the second half, „United“ pressed their opponents aggressively, but in the 73rd minute Jonjo Shelvey scored a goal after a pass from his teammate Bafetimbi Gomis.
„Whether we deserved more is not so important, because in football only goals count“, Van Gaal said.
„Today, our team did not do well.“
Asked if „United“ created enough chances, the Dutchman added: „I think we did, especially in the second half.“
„I also believe that we dominated in the first half, and even more so after the break.“
The defeat in Wales was the first loss for the Manchester club in the last five league matches.
