Former Barcelona coach Louis van Gaal spoke a bit late, but commented on Neymar's record-breaking transfer from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Dutchman revealed his version of why the Brazilian was acquired and he did not see any financial or sporting purpose in it.
"If you looked at why Neymar was acquired, you would see that it was simply some kind of deal orchestrated by a sheik, whose services were declined by the Barcelona team. It was all related to the sheik and his feelings," said L. van Gaal.
PSG paid a staggering 222 million euros for the Brazilian, making Neymar the most expensive football player of all time.
