L. van Gaal: our defenders are not to blame for all missed goals

"Manchester United" coach Louis van Gaal admits that his team has conceded a lot of goals this season, but defenders are not to blame for that.

In the English Premier League, the "Red Devils" earned only 8 points in the matches played so far. They only conceded goals against two teams - the underdogs "Burnley" and QPR.

"We have many attacking players and I like that," the Dutchman acknowledged. "But I think there should be balance in every position, because we are conceding too many goals."

"I want us to not lose possession of the ball so much. That's our main problem, not defense. We lose the ball too easily, but it can be justified because we have many attacking players who still lack discipline."

"So, we are looking for balance in our attacking play. We need to focus not only on offense, but also on defense. I want my defense to be more organized, but defense starts from the forward position," L. van Gaal explained.

On Sunday, "Man Utd" faces a serious test at "Old Trafford," where the multiple-time English champions will clash with Liverpool's "Everton."
