Louis van Gaal openly admitted in an interview with the BBC that "Manchester United" does not play more beautiful football under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - he, like Jose Mourinho, promotes defensive football.
The Norwegian football specialist took over "Man Utd" club in the middle of December. Solskjaer has already achieved several impressive victories - he eliminated PSG from the Champions League and returned to the fight for the top four in England.
However, L. van Gaal is not impressed by Solskjaer's work at "Man Utd" club. According to the Dutchman, he plays the same kind of football as J. Mourinho.
"The coach who came to the team after me (Mourinho - ed.) changed the game to a 'parking the bus' tactic, based on counterattacks," - BBC quoted L. van Gaal.
"Now there is another coach who also uses the 'park the bus' tactic and plays on counterattacks. The main difference between Mourinho and Solskjaer is that Ole wins matches.
"I'm not in the club, but apart from a change in atmosphere, I don't see many changes. It should be noted that Solskjaer changed Pogba's position, where he plays a much more important role," - continued L. van Gaal.
The famous football specialist believes that this "Manchester United" team's game is not at all similar to the one under Ferguson.
"They play defensive football, which is based on counterattacks. If you like that kind of football, you will like it. You can say that this football intrigues you more than my boring attacks, everything is fine with that, but my opinion is different," - added L. van Gaal.
