European press is buzzing about possible scandals involving Paris Saint Germain and Manchester City teams trying to avoid sanctions, and now even the La Liga president Javier Tebas has decided to speak out.
The Spaniard insisted that there is no other way and UEFA finally needs to step in.
"I have been saying for two years that PSG and Manchester City are cheating, so these facts did not surprise me at all.
It is very important that UEFA finally takes real action, as this will balance global football and the structure of the game.
We must punish these teams," Tebas said.
"Forcing them to spend a year without Champions League matches would send a message that rules need to be taken seriously and respected. We are not talking about the punishment of a specific club, such as PSG, but we need to ensure the supremacy of the rules."
