On Thursday in Istanbul, the draw for the new UEFA Champions League group stage was made and last season's winners were awarded. The best women's coach was Sarina Wiegman, whose England team triumphed in this year's European Championship. Among the men's specialists, nobody could match Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, who defeated all his rivals in the UEFA Champions League. The women's player of the year was 28-year-old Barcelona defender Alexia Putellas. Striker Karim Benzema, who played fantastically for Real Madrid, was recognized as the best footballer.
