In the first matches of the day, the team fighting for a place in the Europa League, "Wolfsburg," achieved a hard-fought victory with a minimal result of 1:0 against "Werder," who are closer to relegation from the league. The only goal of the match was scored in the 82nd minute, when Wout Weghorst nodded the ball into the net in the penalty area. "Wolfsburg" currently occupies seventh place in the standings, which would open the way to the Europa League. The situation for "Werder" is much sadder. Oliver Glasner's team currently sits in 17th place, three points away from the 16th spot, which would allow them to play in the relegation playoffs with only four games left to play.
