Baltic countries may switch roles in the next UEFA Nations League season. It was revealed today that in Group D of League C, the Latvian national football team took first place and secured a place in League C. In the last round, Latvians had to at least draw with Andorra, which they achieved (1:1). In other group matches, Moldova defeated Liechtenstein 2:0. Moldova and Latvia both accumulated the same number of points (13 each), but the Baltic country had a slight advantage in their head-to-head matches. Meanwhile, Estonia will need to finalize formalities with San Marino in their away match tomorrow, as the first place in the group has already been secured by the Baltic country's national team. Lithuania, on the other hand, has not yet guaranteed relegation from League C. In 2024, there will be special relegation playoffs in League C, where the pupils of Breu may face one of the following opponents: Belarus, Gibraltar, and Cyprus/Northern Ireland.
