Earning a "Panenka" style goal seems like an easy job. However, players do not always succeed in accurately hitting the shot and then they are hit by a wave of criticism.
The latest case happened in the Nations League match between Serbia and Montenegro, when the home team's forward Aleksandar Mitrovic attempted to deceive the opponents.
However, the ball hit during the shot went over the crossbar, and after the match the Serbian did not spare himself criticism:
"I don't understand why I acted like that. I watched Memphis Depay's goal from yesterday and in the last moment I decided to repeat it. I'm a fool," the forward said.
Despite the forward's fiasco, Serbia managed to win the match 2:1.
