The duo of club defenders Sol Campbell from England and Cameroonian Lauren have signed new contracts with the London club. Lauren will stay at the club for another two years, while S.Campbell has signed a contract to remain at the club for at least two more seasons as well. This decision by Lauren definitively refutes the rumors that he will represent [another team] next season. Such talks spread after the 27-year-old defender initially rejected the one-year contract offered by Arsenal, stating that he wanted a longer contract.
Meanwhile, S.Campbell has never hidden his desire to continue representing the team led by A.Wenger and immediately signed the offered contract.
The future of another English champions' player, defender Edu, in the club is still unclear. The Brazilian's contract expires this summer and so far the footballer has not agreed to sign a new contract. By the way, rumors have been circulating for some time that Edu may join [another team].
