"Lazio" appointed Bosnian Petkovičius as coach © EuroFootball.com

"Vladimir Petković has officially been appointed as the new head coach of AS Roma's "Lazio". The 48-year-old Bosnian will replace Edy Reja, who stepped down after the previous season, despite securing a 4th place finish in the Italian championship. Petković started working with Swiss club "FC Sion" a month ago, but did not object to the decision to move to "Serie A". Previously, the coach has led Swiss side "Young Boys" from Bern and Turkish club "Samsunspor". "Lazio", which includes Lithuanian national team defender Marius Stankevičius, will compete in the UEFA Europa League next season."
