On Saturday, two matches of the 5th round took place in the Italian championship. "Lazio" convincingly defeated the "Torino" club, while the match between "Atalanta" and "Reggina" ended in a draw.

Rome's "Lazio" team achieved their third consecutive victory by crushing the poor-performing "Torino" team with a resounding 4-0 score.

The main action of the match started in the second half. Three minutes into this half, Tommaso Rocchi put the visitors ahead. After receiving a pass from Gaby Mudingayi, the Italian sent the ball into the net. Although the ball was touched by another "Lazio" player, Stefano Mauri, the ball had already crossed the line during the touch, so the goal was credited to T. Rocchi.

Seven minutes later, the same T. Rocchi was brought down by the home defender Marco Di Loreto in his team's penalty area, and the referee awarded a penalty kick to the Rome club. The penalty was successfully converted by the captain Massimo Oddo, despite the fact that the ball was touched by the "Torino" goalkeeper's fingertips, and "Lazio" took another solid step towards victory.

The third goal was scored by the same M. Oddo. Taking advantage of a failed attempt by the "Torino" defense to clear the ball in a corner kick situation, the Italian struck the ball into the net, even though it had struck one of the "Torino" defenders before entering the goal, making the score 3-0.

"Lazio" finally humiliated their opponents in the 71st minute. Tommaso Rocchi, avoiding the offside trap, found himself in front of the goalkeeper and struck. Although C. Abbiati managed to save the shot, the first to the ball was his teammate S. Mauri, who scored the fourth goal for his team.

The other matches held on Saturday between "Atalanta" and "Reggina" ended in a peaceful 1-1 draw. All the goals of the match were scored right at the beginning of the meeting. In the third minute, Nicola Ventola's shot was saved by the visiting goalkeeper, but he could not prevent the next shot, scored by Simone Loria, the goalkeeper of "Reggina." This was the 1000th goal of the "Atalanta" club in their home stadium in the Serie A league.

However, "Reggina" spoiled the celebration for the supporters of the Bergamo club just three minutes later, when a powerful strike from Giacomo Tedesco's shot went straight into the goal. This was the player's 100th match wearing the current club's jersey and on this occasion, the player presented his club with an important point.
