"Lazio" goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha strongly spoke out against video review technology (VAR).
The decision of the referee to cancel the awarded penalty in the match against Milan "Inter" surprised the representative of the Rome club, as well as the coach Simone Inzaghi - the match ended 0:0.
The ball hit Milan Skriniar's hand in the penalty area and the referee's whistle delighted the guests. However, not for long - the video review changed everything.
"I think the coach was right - VAR takes the emotions out of football. When a goal is scored, you have to wait until it is confirmed.
When you are allowed to take a penalty kick, you also have to wait. Incidents used to benefit football - whether the referee's decisions are right or not," Strakosha said.
